เคะบุคุโระเป็นเมืองใหญ่ในกรุงโตเกียวที่คับคั่งทั้งการค้าและความบันเทิงในแต่ละวันผู้คนนับล้านสัญจรไปมาในอิเคะบุคุโระแต่รู้หรือไม่ว่าที่แห่งนี้มีตำนานท้องถิ่นอยู่ว่า...มีคนเห็น“มอเตอร์ไซสีดำ” ขับร่อนไปรอบเมืองในตอนกลางคืนทั้งที่ไม่มีไฟผู้คนต่างเรียกสิ่งนั้นว่า “ไรเดอร์ไร้หัว” Headless Riderเพราะว่า สิ่งที่ขับมอเตอร์ไซค์สีดำนั้น... ไม่มีหัว!เด็กหนุ่มบ้านนอกอย่าง ริวงามิเนะ มิคาโดะที่ต้องมาใช้ชีวิตในเมืองกรุงโดยย้ายโรงเรียนมาที่ อิเคะบุคุโระตามคำชักชวนของมาซาโอมิ คิดะเพื่อนเก่าเพื่อนซี้ตั้งแต่สมัยประถมเมื่อเจอกันแล้วคิดะก็พาเดินเที่ยวในเมืองระหว่างที่เดินชมเมืองอยู่นั้นก็เตือนเขาว่าในย่านนี้นั้น มีกลุ่มคนบางกลุ่มที่ไม่ควรจะ ไปยุ่มย่ามด้วยเป็นแก๊งอันธพาลที่ตำรวจต่างก็ไม่เคยจับตัวการได้สักทีที่ชื่อว่า“ดัลลาส” หรือ“บาร์เทนเดอร์ที่เขวี้ยงตู้ขายของอัตโนมัติ”“พนังงานร้านซูชิรัสเซีย” รวมถึง “นักค้าข่าว”แล้วยังมี “ไรเดอร์ไร้หัว” อีกตั้งแต่นั้นทั้งเขาและเพื่อนๆต่างก็ต้องเตรียมตัวเข้าไปพัวพันกับคดีประหลาดๆที่เกิดขึ้นทั่วอิเคบุคุโระเป็นต้นมา
